Facilitation
We design and facilitate impactful collective leadership events and dialogues with leaders, teams and networks of stakeholders.
The Executive Team
Our facilitation service for in-tact Executive teams aims to foster collaborative and collective leadership capability and practices at three levels: individual leader, leadership team, leaders of leaders. These can be one-off workshops, however we recommend a series of sessions that enable practice, fine tuning, and opportunities to review and reflect on progress. Our facilitation method encourages robust discussions, relationship development, and strategic insights. Executive Teams will make conscious decisions about how to lead together for their context and the organisations future. In stepping out of traditional roles and meeting formats, the leadership team's shared ambitions emerge and are embedded into conscious practices that suit the leadership rhythm and context of the group.
Strategy and Planning
We know the meaning of “strategy” and “planning” is changing in our contemporary environment. We design and facilitate strategy and planning sessions with a difference. Our design of these sessions and processes is based on the outcomes you are seeking and these operate at two levels; •Building alignment around shared ambitions, purpose, objectives and milestones. •Making conscious choices about the work ahead and methods for reviewing progress, accountability and collective effort. We can facilitate single day, short sessions, or a series of “emergent strategy" events. These draw on our unique strategic imagining methods to establish more dynamic, resilient, and strategic capability in organisations.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Integrated governance and collaboration are increasingly being called upon as potential solutions to wicked and complex challenges. We know that joined-up, collaborative work challenges the paradigms of organisational siloes and single-point accountability. We facilitate events, workshops and dialogues at various stages in collaborative programs such as designing collaboration parameters, collaborative start-up acceleration workshops, point-in time reviews of collaborative efforts, and reset workshops on specific aspects of the collaboration agenda.
Consultation and Engagement
We design and facilitate highly participative consultation and engagement processes. We can also work with internal facilitators to build capability and confidence in the design and facilitation of effective processes. We know that meaningful engagement and consultation can significantly contribute to stakeholder trust, relationships, and implementable policy design. We can do this for internal organisational requirements and external stakeholder strategies.
Culture and Change
Culture and leadership are symbiotic. We co-design culture change, providing the scaffolding leaders need while they lead the change. We use novel and grounded tools, methods and frameworks to learn and make progress for complex change agendas.
Building Collaboration Culture
Do you need your people to work better across organisational boundaries? To join up, collaborate, and connect the dots across silos? These are essential capabilities and cultural features of our times. Our Collaboration Culture methods are multi-faceted and we work with you to diagnose where to start for your particular workplace. Some features of our approach include: •leaders as role models, •tracking and activating influencers and champions, •identifying real-work opportunities and experimenting with live collaboration projects (learning in low risk environments translates to confidence for more substantial projects), •identifying and removing inadvertent disincentives, •trust building by stealth, •making it easy to collaborate by default. After the diagnostic, we will design the first wave of activity, support your leaders to lead the change themselves, review progress at regular intervals, provide support – tools, resources, coaching to networks of influential champions and then determine the next wave. Our aim is for our role to reduce over time as your leaders at all levels become more confident to lead your collaboration culture design and iteration.
Cultivating Networks for Change
Do you need your people to build momentum around modernised ways of working and seize opportunities for change? We know that building the capability and motivation for adaptive culture is key to contemporary change efforts. Our approach is not to apply change management methods to your people and processes. We help you build the capability and confidence of your leaders at all levels to identify and activate networks around real-life challenges or projects for change. These networks agree on the specific indicators of progress and plan the work they will do together and apart before they regroup to review progress, learn from their experiences, and shape the best next steps again. Our aim is for our role to reduce over time as your leaders at all levels become more confident to lead the establishment, design and iteration of social networks for change.
Leaders Everywhere
We work with you to establish distributed leadership models and ways of working. This includes exploring the concept of leadership as distinct from positional authority. Leaders identify the habits and practices that prevent and assist the emergence of leadership in their context. We can create frameworks, tools, diagnostics and narratives to support new ways of leading. We also tailor and facilitate high impact leadership development experiences with a focus on building capability and confidence for leading from anywhere.
New Ways of Working Incubator
Many organisations are experiencing the challenges of working in a more complex world with an ever shrinking resource base. The processes, systems and structures that have served them well are no longer fit for purpose. It is tempting to think of these challenges as structural or procedural but in fact they are social challenges and require social solutions. This incubator is based on the idea that people can adopt new ways of working while they are working on the issues that matter. We can work with your leaders and teams to design new ways of working whilst they are undertaking their daily work together. Experimentation, adjustments, and regular reflection points are the keys to unlocking untapped potential for change, and allow new ways of working to emerge.
